White wheat flour is in multiple products that are commonly found on supermarket shelves, from pasta to bread, crackers, pastry, and sauces. Though it’s consumed by the bucketload and is contained in products many of us don’t see as that unhealthy, such as spaghetti, white wheat flour is actually a highly refined substance that has been stripped of any nutrient value.

People consuming a diet consisting of a lot of white flour, could even wind up becoming nutrient deficient as we all need essential minerals and vitamins to keep our bodies healthy. When we don’t get them from our food, our body can’t perform vital tasks, such as maintaining bones, so it tries to extract them from elsewhere, leading to a slew of health problems. A UK Government report discovered that getting enough vitamins and minerals through food could save 70,000 people each year – and one way to improve your nutrient quota is by cutting out white flour products.
